⸻⸻❱❰A web performance about memory using the puppeteering Chrome extension called HitchHiker which allowed me to take control of all the web browsers of my audience. I dropped the audience, who followed along on their laptops, at the Google Maps location of the exact building in Bucharest where I was born and lived for the first 7 years of my life. I had not been back to the physical location for decades, yet I could trace from memory the exact route that I used every morning to walk to school by myself. I let the audience down the streets of my childhood, pointing out landmarks that only a child would remember. It is a version of Bucharest that now only exists in my memory, yet it matches relatively well to the current map: same buildings, same street grid, same elementary school still standing in the same spot.
This digital performance begins at: Aleea Lunca Șiretului - 10 - Bloc M45B - Scara 1 - Apt 1- 44, București and ends a few blocks away at the local elementary school. ⸻⸻❱❰
